Keeper came out of Gail Karamalegos' second litter. It was a litter co-bred with Lauri Butler, and Keeper was Lauri's pick. He and Diamond were born on the same day, one in Texas, one in Washington, and when they were both just six months old, they both won their 6-9 class at the USASA Nationals
